There is much opportunity for interaction with customers and coworkers. Discount department stores like Wal-Mart and Target have many different areas in which employment opportunities are available. You can work in the produce department, bakery, apparel department, jewelry department, sporting goods or even the back office. There are all kinds of jobs for seniors at these stores, as you will notice if you shop there.
